SALEM, N.H. —

Police have identified the worker who was killed when he came into contact with power lines in Salem, New Hampshire, on Thursday.

Police said Marc Glaser, 45, of Salem, was doing landscaping work around 1:21 p.m. when he and another worker came into contact with the power lines in what police called a "tragic accident."

Glaser was found dead in the bucket of a hydraulic lift, which was near a junction of overhead power lines that ran down Route 28 and into the business area, police said.

Salem firefighters treated the other worker for serious electrical burns at the scene. He was later transported to Massachusetts General Hospital. Salem police said it is their understanding that the worker is in stable condition.
