MINNEAPOLIS — Drivers, beware! Both directions of Interstate 94 will close between I-35W and Highway 280 in Minneapolis over the weekend.
The closures will begin at 9 p.m. on Friday and end at 5 a.m. on Monday. The Minnesota Department of Transportation said in a press release that construction crews will use the time to restore pavement markings.
Drivers can detour with I-35W, Highway 36, I-35E and I-94. The highway and ramps will all reopen Monday morning, except for the ramp from Huron Boulevard to eastbound I-94, which will reopen on Wednesday.
More closures will take place on I-94 in Minneapolis after the State Fair concludes. For the full project website, click here .
