MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCSC) - The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office has recovered a vehicle that was stolen from the Cypress Boat Landing.

Deputies were notified on Feb. 25 by a third party of a stolen vehilce that was discovered underwater and submerged near the train truss at Cypress Gardens. The Berkeley County Dive Team responded to the scene, where it was later confirmed that the vehicle was a 2022 Ford Escape.

The vehicle was reported stolen from North Charleston back on April 16, 2024, according to deputies. No human remains were found and the vehicle was left in place with GPS coordinates for later recovery.
