Denise Winkelman has set her first stand-up comedy special, “Bougie on a Budget,” which will be available for purchase on Aug. 18, exclusively on Apple TV.

In the special, produced by Comedy Dynamics, Winkelman details her journey from growing up with “hick” parents in a small, conservative town in Minnesota, to moving to Los Angeles and embracing her identity as a transgender woman. Plus, she gives her take on how to live a life of luxury while on a budget.

“Blending sharp observational humor with unflinching honesty, Denise transforms personal struggles into comedic gold,” reads the logline. “Whether she’s breaking down small-town absurdities or riffing on the joys and indignities of being fabulous on a tight budget, her wit and warmth shine through every moment.”
