Talking Heads haven’t toured since 1984 — and according to the band’s frontman, David Byrne, there’s no plans to change that.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone , Byrne confirmed that the iconic New York new wave band will not reunite. While the conversation focused on the artist’s forthcoming solo album — September’s “Who Is The Sky” — Byrne also quashed the idea of Talking Heads getting back together, and implied that the group was a “Once in a Lifetime” occasion, if you will.
“You realize you can’t turn the clock back,” he told Rolling Stone. “When you hear music at a certain point in your life, it means a lot. But it doesn’t mean you can go back there and make it happen again.”
