CHAPMAN, Neb. (KSNB) - A train struck a pickup parked on the tracks near Chapman in Merrick County on Thursday afternoon.

It happened at the 7th Road and Highway 30 railroad crossing.

The driver was able to get out before the collision, and no injuries were reported.

The crossing was blocked for a time after the crash. Chapman Fire & Rescue, the Merrick County Sheriff’s Office and the Nebraska State Patrol were on scene for about 25 minutes.
