LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Authorities are searching for an inmate who went missing from the Community Corrections Center in Lincoln on Thursday.

The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services said Alexander Gouge, 38, did not return to the facility from a job seek furlough. His electronic monitor was found near 31st and Q streets in Lincoln.

Gouge started his sentence on Aug. 31, 2021. He was sentenced to 10 to 15 years out of Lancaster County for refusing to submit to a test/5th offense. He has a parole hearing scheduled in September 2025 and a tentative release date of Feb. 11, 2028.

Gouge is 5’ 8”, 185 lbs. with brown eyes and black hair. Anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts is asked to contact local authorities or the Nebraska State Patrol.
