Chesterfield County Police added a charge for DUI manslaughter against Karen G. Palma Martinez in a fatal hit-and-run early Sunday morning.

Authorities had already charged Palma Martinez, 27, of the 6800 block of Full Rack Circle, with driving under the influence and felony hit and run, after she was allegedly one of multiple vehicles that struck and killed Krystal T. Parker.

Parker, 27, of the 11100 block of Boydton Plank Road in Brunswick County, was crossing Hull Street Road at 2:10 a.m. on Sunday when multiple vehicles struck her. First responders pronounced Parker dead at the scene of the crash.
