WASHINGTON — The U.S. Secret Service will conduct what the agency called a "routine active threat exercise" at the White House from Friday night at 8 until 1 a.m.
If nearby, people may hear simulated gunfire and notice more law enforcement in the area than usual, a spokesperson for the Secret Service warned.
Road closures would not be in effect but some sidewalks will likely be closed. The law enforcement agency said the exercise would be routine and were not expected to, "significantly impact the public."
