KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The winner of 6 News' Incredible Tiny Home for a Hero contest has been announced. He's a U.S. Air Force veteran from South Knoxville.
Retired Air Force Master Sgt. Bill Hobbs' name was randomly selected from the nearly 800 people who entered the giveaway, and now he's planning on taking his prize and paying it forward. The prize was a 300-square-foot tiny home, as well as a voucher from Knoxville Wholesale Furniture and a nice check from the Y-12 Federal Credit Union.
Builder Randy Jones welcomed Bill Hobbs into his new home this afternoon. The one-bedroom, 300-square-foot custom-built home comes with all the amenities of a regular house.
