MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Memphis Police Department has three men detained along East Holmes Road just south of the airport after a citywide police chase Friday night.
MPD reports that officers attempted to pull a “suspicious vehicle” over on Austin Peay Highway in Raleigh at 7:27 p.m. Police say the driver refused to stop and tried to hit several officers with his vehicle in the escape.
MPD then pursued the vehicle all the way down to the area of Holmes and Swinnea, on the opposite side of the city, where the driver collided with a civilian’s vehicle and lost control.
Three male suspects were detained at the scene.
Police say two bystanders were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
No officers were hurt.
