MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Memphis Police Department responded to two separate carjackings in Memphis this week.
On Wednesday, a woman was dragged out of her vehicle and body slammed into the pavement on Court Avenue. MPD said the suspects fled the scene in the woman’s vehicle, which was located later that night after being involved in a crash.
The next day, police responded to a report of another carjacking.
A woman was leaving a grocery store on Kansas Street when she heard someone running behind her. MPD said she turned around and saw a man pointing a black handgun at her face. The woman slipped and fell, and the man with a gun demanded her keys, according to MPD.
