MARSHALL, Ind. (WNDU) - Marshall County officials honored late congresswoman Jackie Walorski by renaming State Road 931 the “Jackie Walorski Memorial Highway” on Friday.

Walorski’s successor, congressman Rudy Yakym and representative Jake Teshka were in attendance for the renaming along with Jackie’s mother Martha.

“Jackie looked over politics basically. The people, people in general, she was a people person. She looked above anybody’s faults, she never held anything against them, she was very nonjudgmental. It’s just that she wanted to help people. She was a servant of God first and next she was a servant of people. It means a lot,” said Martha Walorski the mother of Jackie Walorski.
