DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - St. Ambrose football was awarded with a check from Royal Ball Run for Autism for the program’s autism acceptance.

The Royal Ball Run for Autism organization promotes autism awareness and acceptance. Every year they recognize someone in the community who shows inclusivity and advocates for autistic individuals.

Earlier this year, the St. Ambrose football team offered a position on their staff as team manager to Ben Andrews who has autism. He is an incoming student with a passion for football.

Andrews will be on the sidelines with the team this season and provide assistance during practices and games.
