A 13-year-old girl who died after being found unresponsive was from Greater Manchester with a murder investigation now underway.

The teenager, locally identified as Casey, was rushed to hospital following an emergency call to a flat on Sheepridge Road, Sheepridge, Huddersfield, on Monday evening, reports Yorkshire Live .

Sadly, despite best efforts, Casey's life could not be saved and she passed away in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The cause of her death remains undetermined, with a post mortem examination currently concluding it as "unexplained pending further investigation".
