HONOLULU (Island News) -- Search efforts continue heading into the weekend involving a disturbing case on Oahu.

HPD recently identified 34-year-old Marquis Johnson as the suspect in the Aug. 8th Chinatown acid attack that left a 30-year-old man in critical condition.

According to witnesses, streets were flooded with cops, there were also individuals in HAZMAT suits and there was also caution tape to keep people out of harm's way.

As the search continues for the suspect, involved in the acid attack, many concerns remain throughout the Chinatown community, heading through the weekend.

Nicky Watts with Megawatts Honolulu told Island News, "I am concerned the person has not been found."
