LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Another typical August day for today’s forecast with hot and humid skies.

Temps climb quickly today, peaking in the upper 80s and low 90s. Heat Index values have us feeling even steamier, with much of central and eastern Kentucky feeling like the upper 90s in the mid-afternoon.

There are a few isolated chances for our day around dinnertime, but many will stay dry. It will be extra muggy, with some humid skies making things feel toasty.

Scattered chances show up again in the second half of our Sunday, with the heat index values climbing once again into the mid to upper 90s.

Rain chances will increase in the middle of next week, which will end up giving us some relief from the heat. But until then, stay hydrated!

Have a great day!
