A 91-year-old woman died Friday at the Cranberry post office after being hit by her own vehicle that police believe she did not put in park before exiting, Post-Gazette news partner KDKA reported.

Cranberry police Lt. Chuck Mascellino told the news station crews were called to the U.S. Postal Service on Executive Drive around 10 a.m.

Lt. Mascellino said officers believe the woman, who was not identified, got out of her car, but did not put it in park. The car, he said, may have rolled over her. He noted that the woman may have also had a medical incident.

The woman was taken to a local hospital where she died.

Police are investigating.
