SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Spartanburg Police Department said that a man was hospitalized following a shooting early Saturday.

Officials said that they responded to the the Collins Park Apartment Complex and found a man laying on his stomach on the ground next to his car. Police removed the man’s shirt and saw several wounds on the right side of his chest that were actively bleeding.

While officers gave medical aid to the victim, a bystander said that a teal-colored vehicle fled the scene shortly after the incident. The victim was transported to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center by EMS.
