MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- New details were revealed this week for a 275-unit residential and commercial development planned at the corner of Central and Cooper in Midtown.

Plans filed by Carlisle Development show three-story townhomes planned for a vacant lot at York and Tanglewood.

Developers are requesting approval for five townhomes in that block, but plans show a total of 27 similar townhomes proposed.

The plans also show the main multifamily building, located roughly where the old Albert Cook Plumbing building is now, would be six stories tall, with four stories of 248 housing units over a two-story parking garage.

A hotel is still planned for the northeast part of the site, behind existing historic commercial buildings.
