ST PAUL, Minn — Between the rides, cookies, and giant slide, researchers at the U of M hope fairgoers will make time to take part in research.
The University of Minnesota opened its Driven to Discover Research Facility at the Minnesota State Fair back in 2014, and since then it has been able to engage half a million people in studies.
This year, the U of M says there will be more than 50 studies being done, including surveys on topics like long-COVID, food shopping habits, and health knowledge. Another survey is looking at how and why people use wearable devices to track their health. On Aug. 23 and 27, you can get a 3D scan of your head to help inform the creation of medical technologies for kids.
