MORRISVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — A person suffered a medical emergency after a chaotic scene took place when shots were fired during an event in Morrisville.

According to the Morrisville Police Department, officers were dispatched just before 2 a.m. Sunday to a shots fired call at the plaza on 4181 Davis Drive.

Upon arrival, officers said they found 20 people who were attending an event at UTSAV Event Venue reporting someone fired a gun in the parking lot, which caused a stampede.

Officers said one person fell and went into a seizure. "That person was taken to WakeMed and treated," officers said in a news release. "No other damage to property or injuries have been reported."
