The termination of a pursuit caused all traffic to be stopped on the 405 Freeway on Sunday morning.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers were originally dispatched on a call regarding a man with a gun. A location was not provided.

Responding officers eventually initiated a short pursuit, LAPD said, and the suspect stopped on the southbound side of the freeway near the 101 Freeway interchange, preliminary information indicates. A California Highway Patrol spokesperson confirmed to KTLA that LAPD requested a full closure of the northbound and southbound lanes of the 405 at Burbank Boulevard due to the end of a pursuit at 11:22 a.m.
