KOKOMO, Ind. — Howard County sheriff's deputies arrested a suspect for allegedly stabbing a man in Kokomo early Saturday morning.

Around 5:15 a.m. Aug. 16, deputies responded to a report of a stabbing near 600 County Road South 750 West.

Deputies arrived and found a 35-year-old man from Kokomo who had been stabbed in his stomach.

Medics transported the victim to Community Howard Regional Health hospital before he was airlifted to a Fort Wayne hospital in critical condition.

Detectives with the Howard County Sheriff's Office then responded to the scene and were able to identify the suspect from the incident.
