HUTCHINSON, Kan. (KAKE) - Three pets were rescued from a house fire in Hutchinson over the weekend.

Around 4:40 p.m. Saturday, firefighters were called to a house fire on Halsey Drive. The first arriving unit reported a fire coming from the exterior backside of the home, and performed a quick attack to get the fire under control. The next arriving unit entered the home, where they found the three pets. One of the dogs rescued had to be given oxygen due to smoke and heat.
