West Midlands mayor Richard Parker admits he wants to attract more funding from government and private investors to keep Coventry and the University of Warwick at the forefront of research and development. Speaking on a visit to the university’s Science Park, he said extra investment would not only create more jobs but allow businesses to continue their ground-breaking work.
He explained: “The expertise here is proven to be world-leading and as mayor, my role is to support what is going on and to look at more ways that we can attract additional funding from government and private investors.
