A Georgia day care worker is facing child abuse and aggravated battery charges for a "horrific" attack on a 1-year-old boy — on his very first day — that left him cut, battered and bruised, according to his father and cops.
"This is every parents' worst nightmare," wrote Cory Weeks on Facebook on Thursday following the alleged beating at Little Blessings Child Care in Bainbridge. "This was his FIRST DAY!!!"

Police tell local CBS affiliate WCTV that surveillance video shows Yvette Thurston, 54, allegedly assaulting Weeks' son. It's unclear when the incident occurred, with Weeks and cops only revealing that it happened on the boy's first day of care.
