COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Two motorcyclists were killed in the span of four days at the same northeast Colorado Springs intersection.

On the evening of Aug. 9, police say a motorcycle and SUV collided at the intersection of Garmish Road and Union Boulevard. Bystanders gave the motorcyclist CPR, but despite those efforts, he died at the scene. He was identified late last week as 20-year-old Spencer Lehmkuhl.

Police were then called to the same intersection on the afternoon of Aug. 12 for another crash involving a vehicle and motorcycle. The rider died before first responders got on scene and was identified Monday as 41-year-old Randy Dibuono.

In both crashes, police said speeding was a factor. It’s unknown if either rider was wearing a helmet.
