COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Police are asking for the public’s help finding a teenager who stole a gun and injured the victim.

The incident was reported Sunday evening in the 1500 block of East Pikes Peak, near the north end of Memorial Park. Police say the victim was in sitting in their parked car, and two suspects climbed in.

“After a brief conversation, one of the males -- described as a Black male, 17-18 years old, with chin length hair -- took the victim’s firearm from the vehicle. This resulted in a physical altercation and minor injury to the victim,” a CSPD lieutenant said.

During that scuffle, police say the teen pulled out a second gun. No shots were reported fired, and the suspect sped off soon after in a silver Honda sedan. He still had the victim’s gun,
