Actor Tristan Rogers, known to millions for his role as super spy Robert Scorpio on “General Hospital,” has died at the age of 79.
Rogers, who also appeared as Hunter Jones on the soap “The Bold and the Beautiful”, had revealed in July that he had cancer, USA Today reported.
Rogers’ longtime manager, Meryl Soodak, confirmed the soap star’s “unfortunate passing” on Aug. 15.
Soodak also told Los Angeles’ ABC7 that Rogers was battling lung cancer at the time of his death.
Playing Scorpio “meant everything to him,” Soodak said.
“General Hospital” executive producer Frank Valentini said in a statement that “the entire General Hospital family is heartbroken to hear of Tristan Rogers’ passing.”
