KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A Central High School student was arrested Monday for having a gun, the Knoxville Police Department said.

The gun, which was reported stolen out of Knox County, was found after an administrative stop and search of the student, according to KPD.

A KPD school resource officer and Knox County Schools security officers were involved in the arrest, KPD said.

The North Knoxville high school was temporarily placed on a medium lockdown, but that has since been lifted, according to KPD.
