WYOMING COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – All schools in Wyoming County and West Virginia will enforce a new statewide cell phone ban for the 2025-2026 school year, following recent West Virginia legislation.

Students will be required to store personal electronic devices in school-specific locations during instructional hours.

Any violations of the ban will result in disciplinary action, and parents or guardians will need to pick up the devices from the schools, according to school officials.

Officials said the measure ensures compliance with West Virginia Code requirements for the use of personal electronic devices and aims to support a focused learning environment.

Wyoming County Schools thanked parents and students in advance for their cooperation with the new policy.
