CLACKAMAS COUNTY, Ore. (KPTV) - A man who was found dead in the Willamette River last week has been identified by the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.

At about 7:45 p.m., on Wednesday, Aug. 13, deputies were notified of a body seen floating in the middle of the river, near the I-205 bridge. The man’s body was removed from the river with help from Clackamas Fire.

The Clackamas County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man as 30-year-old Eric Charles Meszaros, of Utah.

The sheriff’s office says detectives do not suspect foul play.

Detectives believe his death likely happened shortly after Meszaros crashed his vehicle on Aug. 10, near McLoughlin Boulevard and Railroad Avenue in Oregon City.
