Local fire departments receive national $10k grant

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) - Three Tri-State fire departments will be receiving $10,00 grants from State Farm.

St. Anthony Fire Department in Dubois County, Lewisport Fire Department in Hancock County and New Haven Fire Department in Gallatin County were named among 150 fire departments across the country to receive the grants as part of the Good Neighbor Firefighter Safety" program.

Officials say the grant helps volunteer fire departments secure needed equipment.
