OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The rain has cleared for the day, bringing in more sunshine and warm temperatures for the afternoon and evening. Highs will surge into the upper 80s and lower 90s with heat index values likely to reach close to 100°. Dew points will again be high.

A few more storms are possible Tuesday morning with the best odds near and south of I-80. Isolated strong wind gusts and a few storms with some large hail are possible too. Overall the severe risk is relatively low but not zero.

Storms should be on their way out of the area by noon. Clouds will gradually decrease during the afternoon hours.

Highs will reach near 90° again on Tuesday with dew points in the low 70s making it feel muggy. This will raise our heat index to the upper 90s.
