Sunday evening marked the third straight such event for the USF football program

TAMPA, Fla. – Passing and agility drills were never so much fun. Certainly, nothing was better than crossing the goal line. Not with the celebration that ensued when the band performed and the cheerleaders danced.

Indeed, it was a Sunday evening to remember at USF’s indoor practice facility when the Bulls took the field with roughly 50 of their friends from Special Olympics Tampa.

“It is an incredible opportunity to do something for someone else,” said coach Alex Golesh, following a third annual Victory Day. “It’s a night where (the student-athletes) realize how fortunate they are. Forget about ball and give more of themselves for an evening.”

And give they did.
