RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- A Southeast Raleigh High School alumna is speaking out after a shooting outside of the school and says the incident couldn't cast a bad light on the school.

The incident happened on Friday night .

Stacey Dove Brodie was volunteering at the jamboree game and was sitting in the stadium at the time.

She said, "We're watching the game and Southeast just scored a touchdown. And then all of a sudden you hear kids yelling and they're running from one side and they're running down onto the field."

Raleigh Police says there was a shooting in the parking lot area outside of the stadium.

ABC11 News reached out to the Wake County School District about the incident and if extra security measures would be put in place for future games. We are waiting for a response.
