Monsoon storms will bring rain to parts of New Mexico through Tuesday. Drier weather moves in to more of the state later this week.

High pressure is making its way across New Mexico Monday. This has kept the heat in place across the state today. There is still enough monsoon moisture underneath this high to produce isolated to scattered showers and storms. Some of these storms have produced heavy rainfall today. A few storms will even stick around eastern and southern New Mexico overnight, bringing some thunderstorms to start the day Tuesday in these parts of the state. Another round of scattered showers and storms will develop across more of the state Tuesday afternoon. Once again, storms could drop heavy rain, bringing a threat of flash flooding.
