MADISON (WKOW) -- Wisconsin is the leading state when it comes to growing cranberries and growers are getting ready for another huge harvest.
For 31 years in a row, Wisconsin has led the country in cranberry production.
According to the Wisconsin State Cranberry Growers Association, more than five million barrels are projected to be harvested this fall.
That would mean nearly two-thirds of the cranberries grown in this country this year would come from Wisconsin, which brings in an estimated one billion dollars in economic revenue and more than four-thousand jobs to the state every year.
