WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. - The West Memphis School District will be closed Tuesday, Aug. 19, due to the boil water advisory, officials said.

The city was issued the advisory after low water pressure at several pumping stations.

Monday schools were closed as well due to the boil water advisory. Officials said water samples were sent to the state for testing but two of the sample results failed.

According to the West Memphis school district, the decision for reopening will be made after the results are ready.

Virtual Academy students will remain in session and are not affected by the closure, officials said.
