HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - On this date in 2023, the brand new Herbert Hoover High School held a ribbon cutting.

It was a big party, with Brad Paisley even holding a concert for the students.

The old school was destroyed by flooding in 2016.

The students spent years using portable classrooms until Kanawha County could build a new school in Elkview.
