An alarm company contacted police on Monday, Aug. 11, after surveillance cameras spotted four masked men trespassing on the former Zion Bible College property at about 5:30 p.m.

Barrington Police officers responding to the scene spotted four men in the St. James Church parking lot, which is located a short walk from the Zion property.

Police spoke with the men, who said they had been looking for a place to swim when they came across the Zion property.

Police issued no trespassing notices to all four men for the property, but no one was charged. The area has been a target for trespassing since Zion Bible College officials relocated the school to Haverhill, Mass. more than a decade ago.
