ABINGTON, Pa. (WTAJ) -- U.S. Marshals are asking for the public's help to find a man wanted for rape on a Penn State campus.

According to the U.S. Marshals Service Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force, Abdul-Jabril Cooper, 19, of D.C., has a warrant for his arrest out of Montgomery County for a September 2024 rape at Penn State's Abington campus.

Cooper was a student at the time of the alleged rape of a female student at his campus apartment. Marshals said he has since unenrolled from the university.

University police and the U.S. Marshals Service have given Cooper the chance to surrender, but he has declined, according to a release. Now, the Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force in Philadelphia is stepping in to assist in apprehending Cooper.
