LINCOLN, Neb. (KSNB) - Nebraska’s unemployment rate ticked down slightly in July, but the picture looked different across the state as some counties saw relief while others faced increases.

Hall County, which previously had the highest unemployment rate in the state of Nebraska, saw a slight decrease. In June the county saw a rate of 4.8%, and they are now down to 4.3%.

Now, the county with the highest unemployment rate in the state is Gage County, with 5.7% of their population unemployed.

Adams County is one of the counties that saw a slight uptick in July, up to 3.2% from 3.1% in June.

Buffalo County, which had held steady previously, was able to drop from 2.9% in June to 2.6% in July.

Lincoln County also saw a drop from 3.2% in June to 2.9% in July.
