JAMES CITY COUNTY, Va. — James City County police are searching for a man charged with several firearm offenses and aggravated malicious wounding following a shooting incident on Saturday.

Police said they were called to the 4900 block of Grand Stand Drive around 12:20 a.m. on August 16. When they arrived, they discovered a man with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to VCU Medical Center after, police said, "life-saving measures were taken."

James City County authorities said they have identified and charged a suspect in the incident. Devante Gregory Lewis is wanted on charges of aggravated malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
