TOLEDO, Ohio — The Strongman Champions League (SCL) has chosen the Glass City as the site for its first-ever league event, followed by a second day of events in Sandusky.

According to a press release from Destination Toledo, on Friday, Sept. 19, SCL will hold displays and competitions of strength around Toledo. Outside the Maumee Bay Brewing Co. and Ohio Plate Glass Building, athletes will show off their strength by flipping steel beams and participating in sledgehammer demolitions, among other things.

The event - to which admission will be free - will also feature food trucks, vendor booths and the opportunity to meet the athletes.
