BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - The Birmingham Police Department has arrested a man connected to a February shooting.

According to police, Arthur Jackson Jr. was shot on Thursday, Feb. 6 in the 800 Block of Center Street North.

Authorities say that Jackson later passed away at UAB Hospital on Wednesday, Aug. 13.

Birmingham Police say that homicide detectives presented case information in August to the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office. The DA’s Office then issued a capital murder warrant for the suspect in Jackson’s death.

The suspect was identified as 38-year-old Reginald Morrow of Birmingham.

Police say on Tuesday, Aug. 19, officers with the Birmingham Police Crime Reduction Team arrested Morrow in west Birmingham.
