LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A woman was taken to the hospital Tuesday night after police said she was grazed in a shooting.

Louisville police said around 8:20 p.m., both LMPD and Shively police were called to the 2700 block of Crums Lane. There, they found a woman who had a graze wound to the chest. She was taken to UofL Hospital, where she is expected to be okay.

Police said they believe the shooting happened in the 3800 block of Shanks Lane in the St. Denis neighborhood.

LMPD’s Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call the anonymous tip line at 502-574-LMPD or use the online crime tip portal .
