ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) - Most 19-year-olds are heading to college this time of the year; meanwhile, No. 1-ranked baseball prospect Konnor Griffin is heading into the history books by becoming the youngest player to suit up for the Altoona Curve.
The previous record holder is Pittsburgh Pirates legend Andrew McCutchen.
"That's pretty cool to think about," Griffin said. "(Especially with) the player that McCutchen turned into bed and (I'm) just trying to be like that and trying to go out here and compete. My age really doesn't matter. So, I'm just going to go out there and be the baseball player that I am."
