SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - East Springfield celebrates its national night out event Tuesday night.

National Night Out happens annually, to celebrate local law enforcement and the communities they serve.

Tuesday night’s event took place at Marshal Roy Park.

Western Mass News caught up with east Longmeadow’s Deputy Chief of Police David Kane, for more on the importance of nights like these.
